FAQ ABOUT THE BEACH SEASON

TIME COMMITMENT:
The season typically begins in June and runs until Early-August, with the Provincial Championships.
Teams are comprised of two players.
Teams practice twice for 60 minutes per session plus game days, and compete in as many tournaments as they choose.

COST:
First, individual player fees will be $300
This includes:
Volleyball BC Membership
Coaches Travel
Equipment
Volleyball Kit (Jersey, Warm-up Shirts, and Hats)
Any tournaments entered and costs associated will be paid by each team member. Expenses such as hotel, transportation (ferry and gas), food and coach’s expenses (hotel, food, ferry, gas) are covered by the club.
GROUP PLACEMENT:
Athletes will attend two placement practices. They will be placed in groups of 12 for training sessions.
Our goal is to keep training sessions to a similar playing level so everyone can feel comfortable and improve with same level players.
Placement sessions times are tentatively as follows (Subject to change):
Sunday, June 1st - 3:00pm - 4:30pm and 4:30pm - 6pm
Saturday, June 7th - 10:00am - 11:30am and 12:00pm - 1:30pm
PRACTICE SESSIONS
Athletes are expected to attend all sessions but we also understand that summer is usually a time for family trips and time spent together.
We require athletes to notify us of any sessions they will be missing so we can plan accordingly.
We will be conducting play sessions where the athletes will be competing in a club wide season ladder. These sessions are not mandatory, but are encouraged.
PRACTICE SESSIONS DATES AND TIMES WILL DEPEND ON NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS AND COACH AVAILABILITY AND WILL BE DECIDED UPON AFTER PLACEMENTS
TENTATIVELY practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Session 1: 6pm-7pm
Session 2: 7pm-8pm
Session 3: 8pm-9pm
